College Trip to UT

This Wednesday, Girls Inc. took a group of high school-aged girls to tour the University of Tennessee. Despite the bad weather, the girls had a good time and gained first-hand experience of college life.
Starting at the age of 6, Girls Inc. includes college preparation in our programs and curriculum. Not only is important to keep girls in school, but girls need to believe that college is within reach starting in elementary school. Girls Inc. also holds parent workshops to help family members understand the critical steps that are necessary to pursue post-secondary education.
