Manager of Teen Programs

Girls Inc. of Chattanooga has an opening for a Manager of Teen Programs. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology or sociology or related area and three years experience in program and staff management. Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 2 years experience working with youth ages 12-18 and a demonstrated track record of success. Reliable transportation is a must. Ability to work effectively in a high paced environment is required.

The Manager of Teen Programs oversees the day-to-day operation of Girls Inc. of Chattanooga’s in-school and after-school programs, spring and fall break camps, and summer career academies for teens. The Manager reports to the Director of Program Operations and is responsible for maintaining quality and up-to-date programming.

The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory, strategic planning, organizational, outreach, and written, presentation and verbal communication skills. Candidates must also have experience developing partnerships, understand the developmental stages of teens, be comfortable with social media and other technology, and educated about social advocacy. The Manager of Teen Programs is the expert on all issues facing teen girls and must have the expertise to adjust program curricula as needed.

Candidates for the Manager of Teen Programs must be available for evening and some weekend programs.
